Gianluca Mattarocci holds the position of associate professor in Banking and Corporate Finance at the University of Rome Tor Vergata and serves as a visiting professor at Athens University of Economics and Business. With over two decades of academic experience, his main interests center on Credit Risk Management, Real Estate, and Corporate Finance.
Using ERPsim in Class
In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Gianluca Mattarocci and his team of instructors displayed remarkable adaptability in reshaping his teaching methods, transitioning from traditional in-person courses to the online realm, effectively incorporating ERPsim into the virtual learning environment.
His approach involved commencing with an initial introductory and informative in-person session, where students were first introduced to ERPsim. This in-person introduction provided students with a foundational understanding of the ERP simulation. Subsequently, all courses were conducted online, creating a dynamic learning environment.
To facilitate ongoing interaction and support, a central online channel was established, serving as a hub where students could pose questions, exchange ideas, and engage with instructors.
Moreover, students were then directed to their respective online channels or groups for more specialized instruction, allowing them to delve deeper into their respective roles on their teams. Gianluca's innovative approach not only proved constructive during the pandemic but also demonstrated its potential for continued use in the future, providing students with a well-rounded and interactive educational experience.
By using ERPsim the instructors and the students learn a lot.
ERPsim is not just useful to understand how to run a company, it is also an instrument to students to understand what else they can do.
Through active participation in ERPsim, most of both students and instructors were not only captivated by the game but also inspired to enroll in programs aimed at obtaining SAP certification.
The practical application of ERPsim enlightened them about the significance and practical role of SAP in the professional world.
