2024 SAP North American Academic Conference and ERPsim User Group Meeting
June 17-20, 2024

2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the ERPsim Lab! To commemorate the event, HEC Montréal and the ERPsim Lab will be hosting the 2024 SAP Academic Community North America as well as the 2024 ERPsim User Group Meeting in a four-day format on June 17 to 20 in Montréal, Canada! The event will be held at the new HEC Montréal location, conveniently located in downtown Montréal, at a walking distance to many hotels and restaurants.

The first two days (Monday-Tuesday) will be dedicated to the SAP Academic Community North America, including keynotes and breakout sessions to exchange about research and pedagogy on anything SAP. The second half (Wednesday-Thursday) will be dedicated to the ERPsim User Group Meeting, with two days filled with exploration and training on new and existing games, as well as a few surprises!

Call For Papers

Research Abstracts

AC24 is seeking research-in-progress/extended abstracts and full papers on various topics exploring new technologies and issues in enterprise systems from multiple perspectives. These include but are not limited to fundamental research, practice-oriented cases, emerging areas such as blockchain/robotic process automation/cloud computing/AI augmentation, and classroom use of enterprise systems. The presentation will typically consist of 20 minutes of talk by the authors, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A.

All full research papers/research-in-progress will be double-blind peer-reviewed. After being presented, they will be shared and published in the conference proceedings online in the SAPNAAC library. Additionally, each track will host a Best Paper Award to recognize the top contributors. Note that all research-in-progress/extended abstracts/full papers are to be submitted no later than May 5, 2024. Authors will receive notification of acceptance by May 19, 2024.

Please make sure to submit the appropriate length depending on the type of paper (i.e., either research-in-progress/extended abstract or full paper).

TRED Talks

In addition to the research-in-progress/full paper presentation, we are hosting Teaching, Research, Education, and Diversity (TRED) Talks, which will accept 1-to-2-page proposals until May 15, 2024. Submissions to the TRED Talks will be editorially reviewed and published in the proceedings.

TRED talks aim is to build a rapid-fire program of exciting and interesting ideas on promoting Teaching, Research, Education, or Diversity in the SAP University Alliances. TRED Talk submissions will be publicly shared in the conference proceedings to inspire the broader community and to find innovation partners. Preference is given to papers that include SAP ecosystem related content.

Topics that could be submitted for TRED talks include the following:

  1. Ideas for novel teaching innovations you are looking to develop;
  2. Research ideas that leverage SAP UA curriculum or technologies;
  3. Novel ideas for improving education within the UA community;
  4. Ideas to increase diversity and inclusion in academic programs and the workplace;

Where will the event be located?

The event will be held at HEC Montréal's newest downtown Montréal location, at 501 rue de la Gauchetière West. You may find more informations on the location on the official HEC Montréal website.

I'm from outside of the North American region. Can I attend the event?

Yes, absolutely! As a faculty member, lecturer or PhD student, you'll get the chance to network and discuss on best practices teaching with SAP. This is definitely an opportunity for all attendees to have people from all around the world!

I'm travelling from outside of Canada. Do I need a visa, or are there any entry requirement?

Anyone travelling to Canada must comply with canadian entry requirements, which may include the need to get a visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). We encourage you to use the official "Do I need a Visa?" tool provided by the Government of Canada to find out what you must do before arriving to Canada.

How much is the registration for the event?

There is a fee to register for the event. It will be announced when registration opens. Please note that this fee only covers for the registration of the event; all travel expenses (transportation, lodging, etc.) are on your own.
